Farewell 2011

Denim shirt: thrifted
Siouxsie And The Banshees top: vintage
Badges: various
Skirt: vintage
Shoes: Office
Bag: Ebay

I hope you're all having an enjoyable day; I know I am!

I went into Manchester with a small group of friends; (including one friend who I haven't seen in at least a year) we all had a great time looking around the shops, chatting and sipping hot drinks in Cafe Nero. It was lovely to have a good old catch up with everybody after Christmas. I finally bought a velvet skirt from American Apparel which I had been lusting after for quite some time, however I was disappointed to discover, when I got home, that the magnetic security tag had been left on it. The shop is one hour away, so it's such a pain to have to take it back to have it removed!

I recently ordered this bag and shoes with my Christmas money, and they both arrived today after a very concise time. Prepare yourself to see them frequently in a lot of future outfit posts; I think I'm falling in love!

I'm seeing the new year in with my family at home, how are you celebrating? I hope you all have a fantastic new year; I'd like to thank you all for following me this year, without you my blog would be pointless.

Hugs and kisses, Sarah xo

When I feel your velvet, I can't help it

I am currently going through a phase in which I am absolutely obsessed with velvet. In fact, I purchased yet another velvet garment today. I thought I'd share with you some velveteen inspiration, take note.

MAC's Ruby Woo lipstick: review

I'm a regular lipstick wearer, and I'd even go as far as saying that I feel naked without it. I had been eager to try out MAC's Ruby Woo lipstick after hearing mixed reviews on the product; telepathy must have kicked in, and I was delighted to receive it as a Christmas present from a friend of mine. I have been using it for about a week now, and I thought I'd share with you my opinions of the product.

Pros:
The lipstick gives a brilliant matte finish, ideal for a retro inspired look.
The colour is a very classic red.
Although I didn't buy it myself, the price is still rather reasonable.
It goes well with my skin tone (pale). I have yet to find someone who's skin tone it doesn't suit.
It stays on for a very long time, and I didn't have to worry about reapplying it throughout the day.

Cons:
It is extremely drying to the lips, therefore not making it very pleasant for long term wear.
It is very similar to other MAC lipsticks such as Russian Red.

If you have used this product I'd love to hear your opinion, so please leave your comments below.

Hugs and kisses, Sarah xo
