Paul & Joe's Cat Collection for SS12

When I first saw the images of Paul & Joe's Cat Collection, I almost collapsed from an overdose of adorableness. Yes, that's right; Sophie Albou is bringing back the brand's highly popular cat-themed beauty products for their tenth anniversary. Not only is the packaging overwhelmingly pretty and ditsy, but the products themselves come in such gorgeous, fanciful colours; they are literally irresistible! Channelling Parisian chic with dashes of kookiness and femininity, you'd be crazy not to purchase a piece from the vintage-inspired collection. Being an avid cat lover myself, you can see why I love it so much; how could you not? I've always been a fan of Paul & Joe make up, so I can't wait to get my paws (see what I did there?) on, well; everything! The collection truly is purr-fect (ok, enough of the cat puns). What do you think?

Can't stay at home, can't stay at school

coat: my sister's
top: vintage
jeans: H&M
scarf: vintage
shoes: Primark
ring: gifted

Today I had a day off school, and the old lady within me was compelled to visit my favourite cafe and have a look around my local charity shops with a few of my friends. We ordered the most delicious tuna salad and nachos with salsa, chicken, cheese and jalapeƱos to share; doesn't it look yummy? They are most renowned for their delicious chocolate, and their hot chocolates are to die for *drools*.

Unfortunately I didn't pick up anything that caught my fancy; although I did see an abundance of pastel shirts, bang on trend for spring! If you're looking for something on trend, I strongly recommend you visit your local charity shops before hitting the high street. Fashion is constantly recycling itself, so I can guarantee that you will find something you like; plus, you will save so much money and it all goes to charity! What more could you ask for?

Leather and Denim

Denim shirt: Pimkie
Jumper: Primark
Leggings: H&M
Chelsea boots: Topshop
Necklace: Forever 21

I'd like to apologise for my absence this past week. I've been extremely busy and unfortunately I haven't been able to blog. I'd also like to apologise for the quality of these photos; seeing as you can't properly see my trousers or shoes. I hate how it goes dark so early during winter, it's such a pain!

This outfit is quite a modern look for me in comparison to what I usually wear. I've lately been obsessing over layering collared shirts under jumpers, especially with denim or printed shirts. The combination is perfect, and brilliant for added warmth! But I must admit, my heart will always lie with vintage aesthetics. Although my favourite decade tends to change every few months, I have had an adoration for 90's grunge for quite a while now. Think velvet, band tees, silk shirts, lashings of black, studs and clunky grungy shoes. On the other hand, I think soon I'll be looking back on the 1950's for inspiration. Anyway, enough of my rambling!

I recently shamefully bought another velvet garment, so I'll show you all in an upcoming post. Yes that's right, I am holding my hand up and saying I have an addiction. Maybe I should join a support group...

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend! Unfortunately I've been stuck in doing homework for most of the time, however last night I had a girly sleepover with my best friend. DVD marathons + junk food + Wii games = Perfect.

Kindness - Cyan

I have probably come close to breaking the replay button thanks to this song. It experiments with 80s new wave and disco beats, incorporating ethereal and otherworldly vocals in a way which is extremely beguiling. If you haven't listened to it already, I highly recommend you do so!

Velvet #2

Top: Urban Outfitters
Cardigan: vintage
Skirt: Topshop
Shoes: Primark
Necklace: Topshop
Ring: gifted

It's probably no secret to you by now that I have a slight (probably one of the biggest understatements of the century) addiction to velvet; the texture, the way it changes its appearance under lighting, I could go on all day. You may even think I'm borderline obsessive (I think so too).

Quelle surprise! Another outfit with a velveteen twist!  I absolutely adore this skirt; this is the first time I've worn it out but I think it could be worn just about all year round. In winter, layer it with a jumper (or sweater for all of you in the States) or cardigan, and (top tip coming up!) throw in some tights or leggings underneath the skirt for added warmth. After all, nobody would know any different because it's maxi. During the warmer months it would be worn with a cool band shirt or blouse. The possibilities are endless! I'm rapidly becoming a die-hard fan of maxi skirts and their incredible versatility.

I'm just about to go out for a meal with my family in celebration of my grandad's 70th birthday. Happy birthday gramps!

The Lady In Pink

She has perfected the whole grungy and rebellious 'I eat nails for breakfast' exterior, unlike most, she can actually pull off pastel pink tresses, and she exudes an effortlessly edgy vibe that you can only wish you attained. With an attitude to match her appearance, she looks as though she's just dropped right out of a Sassy magazine spread from 1992. There isn't much to dislike about LA born model Charlotte Free; if you look at the photos below, you'll probably understand why she's rapidly growing on me.

It was terribly windy today- I hope you appreciate the lengths I go through for this blog haha. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll snow soon , I adore snow, It's so pretty!

I go back to school tomorrow so unfortunately I wont be able to post as frequently, so I thought I'd apologise in advance.

The Christian Louboutin Story | NET-A-PORTER.COM

As far as my knowledge on fairytales goes, I'm no expert, but this is such a brilliant story! I'd have loved to have been told this whilst I was still sporting minuscule pairs of Startrite shoes back in my early years. Now sit back, relax, and enjoy this glorious video. After all, we can be certain this one has a happy ending.
