One Year Blogiversary: A Year In Outtakes

For those of you who wondered if I'd dropped off the face of the earth, fret not! Once again I have upcoming exams, which unfortunately means revising throughout the festive period; hence the recent lack of posts. However, I did want to squeeze in this post, as today my blog is officially one year old! My style and blog has evolved a lot throughout the course of the year; and 83 posts, 498 followers, and an incomprehensible number of outtakes later, my blog has finally reached it's first birthday since it first arrived on the blogosphere. (Warning: this post is about to become somewhat sentimental) I can't believe it's only been a year since my first (terribly lackluster, might I add) post. Thanks to you the time has passed extraordinarily quickly, and I still can't believe that so many of you clicked the 'follow' button, and read my nonsensical ramblings on a regular basis. It means the world to me that you enjoy what my blog has to offer, so thank you incredible quantities for following me, leaving feedback and welcoming me with open arms into the blogosphere. I can't wait to share more of my outfits and thoughts with you in the new year, as I have lots of new exciting ideas just waiting to be revealed!

Anyway, without further adieu, I thought I'd put together this post of bloopers, so that we can all have a giggle at my expense. Enjoy!

Hugs and kisses, Sarah xo
P.S I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful new year, and I'll be sending you lots of positive vibes for 2013! I'd love to hear about your new year's resolutions, so feel free to leave them in the comments below!

Sundays Always Come Too Late

Coat: Primark
Plaid shirt: Primark
Tee: Urban Outfitters
Skirt: vintage
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell Tardys
Beanie: Topman

I was totally channeling Kevin McAllister when I purchased this beanie from Topman. It makes me want to gorge on vast quantities of ice cream and plant numerous well thought-out booby traps around my house. However, instead of doing said activities, I spent the day at the Christmas markets for the third consecutive weekend. I suppose you could say I'm getting into the festive spirit, and, truth be told, I am. As I mentioned in my previous outfit post, I'm a massive child when it comes to Christmas, so I don't mess around when it comes to engaging in the various festivities. I even bought myself a gingerbread latte from Starbucks: they're limited edition, so I felt the urge to snatch one up before it's too late!

The only downside to my weekend was the fact that I woke up with a dreadful cold, aka  the worst feeling in the history of ever. Over the past few days I've sneezed an incomprehensible number of times, and started to amass quite an impressive collection of used tissues which have begun to overflow from the constraints of my bin. To top it all off, the current colour of my nose would rival that of Rudolph's (more festive puns. See what I did there?), and I look as though I've smeared red eyeshadow around my eyes- not a good look! Plus, my voice isn't raspy and deep, like some people find sexy; oh no, it resembles more of the hallmark 'I'm sick' nasally voice. Oh, woe is me! Anyway, I'll finally stop boring you all with my complaints and put you out of your misery.

Hugs and kisses, Sarah xo

Bloggers Of The Month: November

If I had to describe Kate's style, the first thing that springs to mind would be 'grunge-cool'. It is for this reason that I've selected her blog to feature in this month's post, as she is my go-to gal when I'm in need of a bit of street-style inspiration. In fact, Kate is among my over-growing list 'thrifty inspirations', and it was through her charity shop hauls on YouTube that I first discovered her. Not only does she know how to find a good bargain in the charity shops, but she also posts brilliant DIY tutorials, which are ideal if you're looking to revamp or spruce up some old furniture. If you enjoy reading my blog, then I'm certain you'll love 'Kate This is What I Do'.

Maya is currently- without a doubt- my favourite blogger. In fact, I love her blog so much that I'm finding it difficult to articulate just how cool she is; although I'm sure the photos above will enlighten you. Her photos are always breathtakingly beautiful; her outfits never fail to hit the nail on the head; and her posts look like something straight out of Rookie, or some kind of awesome teen magazine from the 90's. Actually, while I'm on the subject of Rookie, I'm convinced that Maya is some sort of long-lost sister of Tavi Gevinson's, as they're, like, practically the same person. These are just a few of the reasons as to why 'A Fidelity For Fashion' has been included in this post, so I strongly urge you to check out Maya's blog for yourself. Only then will you know what I'm blithering on about.

Hugs and kisses, Sarah xo
